The Revolution is here!
The Wordsworth Revolution is a ground breaking solution that offers 8 fully integrated systems (modules) in a 5U rack mountable chassis which is only 222mm Deep! The resulting effect being that you can place two Revolutions back to back and get 16 systems in a 5U space!
The Revolution is as economical with power as it is with space, running at as little as 13w per system the Revolutions overall typical power consumption is under 250w. Not only does this lower your company’s carbon footprint it also reduces the total cost of ownership for this product.
With practically limitless configuration capabilities the Revolution can support the needs of both companies and individuals alike. Utilising a range of processors from 1Ghz VIA CPU’s to the latest Intel Core 2 Duo the Wordsworth Revolution supplies a level of flexibility found in no other product.
Offering unparalleled redundancy and upgrade possibilities, changing one of your Revolutions individual modules is as simple as removing two thumb screws and extracting the unit, make your changes and replace the unit without any interruption to the operation of any other modules you may have running.
With the growing popularity of virtualisation as well as miniaturisation the Revolution does not limit you to simply 8 systems, with the use of a well chosen operating system, XP embedded for example, it is possible to run more then one operating system from each unit using software such as Virtual PC. This makes each module perfect for and endless range of environments;
- Software testing; allowing multiple operating systems to be booted and rebooted without the need to reboot your control system.
- Network Simulation; using a Revolution and Virtual PC it is perfectly feasible to emulate an entire domain allowing you to test new software or update roll outs without any risk to your live domain.
- Technical support; permits your technical support staff to run various operating systems in a multitude of scenarios for testing and evaluation.
- Legacy support; dedicating one of your modules to legacy software support could assist your upgrade path significantly.
The Revolution can grow with your business. You may initially only have a requirement for one or two modules, because of the Revolutions modular design there is no need to spend on resources that are not required.
